During COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, all appointments took place remotely by Zoom, Facetime or by phone as preferred. As of February 2022, appointments are possible either face-to-face or online, depending on preference If you or your child have remote appointments then I will send you some detailed guidance about how to get the most from this.
Children aged (approximately) under 12 working online: I ask that children have a range of toys / other resources available for use during their sessions, much like they would have if attending appointments face-to-face. For children living locally I can supply these materials. My experience has been that most children are able to make use of online appointments with some adjustments. Sometimes I will ask parents to join for some / all of the appointment, depending on the child’s age & ability to manage remote working as well as what is most helpful to you & your child.
Young people aged (approximately) 12 and over: The work will take place much as it would if you were face to face. I ask that you find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted or overheard. If you would usually lie down then you can still lie down – this can sometimes feel easier than looking directly at a screen.
