I offer therapy appointments online for people who are based anywhere in the UK.

If you decide to work online, I will send you clear guidance on how to set up your space and get the most from remote sessions, whether for yourself or your child.

Why Choose Online Therapy

Online psychotherapy can be a helpful and flexible option for many reasons, including:

  • Living far from a therapist or outside the Bristol area
  • Having a medical condition or disability that makes travel difficult
  • Feeling anxious or uncomfortable leaving home for appointments
  • Moving frequently for work, study or family reasons
  • Simply preferring the convenience or comfort of meeting from your own space

For many people online sessions can provide much of emotional depth as face-to-face work, with the same level of confidentiality and consistency. For some people having therapy from home can feel like a safe place to start, before perhaps coming “in person” later on. For students, it can be a good option when away from the Bristol area, while returning for face-to-face possible when this is practically possible.

Online therapy is not suitable for everyone, and part of the therapy assessment would be to work out whether or not this way of working is helpful for you / your child.

Children (Under ~12 Years Old)

For younger children, I ask that they have a range of toys and creative materials available during sessions — just as they would if attending in person.

For families based near Bristol, I can lend or supply suitable play materials for home use.

Most children adapt well to online therapy with a few thoughtful adjustments.

Depending on your child’s age, attention and needs, I may sometimes invite parents to join part or all of a session to help support the work.

Young People (12+) and Adults

For adolescents and adults, online sessions are much like in-person appointments.

Please try to find a quiet, private space where you can speak freely without interruptions.

If you usually lie down during sessions, you can still do so — many people find this more comfortable and less intense than looking directly at the screen.
